| So I was waiting at a traffic light on Baymeadows Road here in Jacksonville last Tuesday at about 8 PM. I was behind a full-size Dodge pick-up and in front of a Dodge minivan. The light had just turned green when I heard screeching tires some distance behind me. I had enough time to think "this isn't going to be good." Two seconds later I was in a four car pile-up. A 70-something lady in a Corolla failed to see the fifteen or so cars waiting at the traffic signal and crashed into the minivan behind me at what must have been the speed limit. The minivan was rammed into my right rear bumper, causing my front end to go underneath the truck in front of me. Ironically, I had just detailed my Z about a week before--isn't that how this always happens? One coat NXT, one coat s100, as always. So I had that going for me. I snapped a couple of pics with my phone after waxing her, which I never do. Makes for good before and after comparisons, anyway. So here's the damage, just wanted to share my pain with the community. Just waxed, in the garage:
. Hood, bumper, and right front quarter panel damage (right headlight was destroyed):
. Rear bumper was cracked near the middle, Jspecs were spared:
. You can't have anything nice anymore I suppose...I'm going to get drunk, again. We'll see if they decide to total her.
